What is Prime Factorization (Page 5/10)

(Contiued from page 4 )

Important
(1) If in Question 7 & 8, all number are in pair and there is no number left out, then divide it or multiplied it by "1" -You may find '1' as option specially in multiple choice question.
Similarly in case of add / subtract, you may find a answer as '0'

Question Type 6 - Find the square root by prime factorization -
625 , 3600 , 1156 , 30625

Answer - 6- Do the factors in pair, like 2*2 ; 3*3 etc. and then take the one number from the pair and multiply.

(i) 625= 5*5*5*5 therefore Square Root = 5*5=25
(ii) 3600= 2*2*2*2 *5*5*3*3 therefore Square Root = 2*2*5*3=60
(iii) 1156= 2*2*17*17 therefore Square Root = 2*17=34
(iv) 30625= 7*7*5*5 *5*5 therefore Square Root = 7*5*5=175

Question Type - 7 - Find the smallest number with which 3528 must be multiplied so that product becomes a perfect square.
Also find the square root of perfect square.

Answer - 7- Make the factors and pair the number. The number which does not have pair is the smallest number to be multiplied.

3528=3*3*2*2*7*7*2

Now one '2' is not having a pair, therefore it is to be multiplied by 2 to make it square.
The square root will be (take one number from each pair & the left out number)
3*2*7*2 =84 is square root
